Frequently asked questions

Answers about the Early Access date, the free demo, price, hardware, single-player scope and what the 24 needles mean.

Early Access is November 6, 2026. The Steam store page shows a live countdown for the unlock.

Yes. Find The Needle Demo is a separate free Steam app (5165210) for Windows. It teaches the same dig–sell–automate loop; wishlist the full game (5160800) for Early Access.

The Demo is free. The full game has no price posted yet, and the developer has said the price will rise when Early Access ends, which makes the whole Early Access period the cheapest time to buy. Steam shows the regional amount once purchasing opens.

The full game ends when you find all 24 needles. The demo is a shorter build, so its needle count and progress do not represent the release version.

The store lists about 7 to 10 hours for a Standard pile and 30 hours or more for the Mountain. The five production stages run from hay bales and bricks up to paper, bioplastic and carbon fibre.

Minimum is Windows 10 64-bit, an i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB of RAM and a 4 GB card with Vulkan 1.3. Integrated graphics are not supported and may crash the game.

Plan on a fresh haystack on release day and keep the demo save as its own.

Steam lists Windows only for this title.
